New Rates, New Reliability, & Ongoing Customer Appreciation
Thank you to all of our customers for your participation, feedback, and support on the District's initiatives to improve water supply reliability. At the Public Hearing yesterday, the Board of Directors approved the Water Supply Agreement with the City of Santa Barbara and adopted new rates. The next step for the Water Supply Agreement is consideration and approval by the City Council. New rates take effect today and changes will be reflected on the August invoice.

New Project Underway on Santa Rosa Lane
As part of the District’s efforts to replace aging water mains, the Santa Rosa Lane Water Main replacement is underway. This project replaces 1-mile of 100-year old water mains on Santa Rosa Lane from San Ysidro Road to San Leandro Lane. The work will occur between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. No work will be performed on weekends or holidays (such as July 3, 2020). The project is expected to be completed by October 2020, with the majority of the work in front of Montecito Union School and the YMCA already complete. The work will continue to the east from the YMCA towards San Leandro Lane. Traffic may be impacted on Santa Rosa Lane during the project with single lane closures in the area of work. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you again for your patience as we work diligently to complete this important project.
