Director Decisions for December
(Montecito, California, December 5, 2017) The District announced this week that its application to the California State Water Resources Control Board for a Water Recycling Planning Grant was accepted November 28th, 2017. Applied for in June of this year, the grant will cover up to $75,000 (50%) of eligible costs for a Recycled Water Facilities Plan / Feasibility Study. The Board voted to accept the terms of the grant and commence a contract with consultants Woodard & Curran to develop and complete the plan. Recycled water is a priority for the District, as it constitutes a reliable local water supply and is an important component of the District’s Urban Water Management Plan. More information on the project can be found in the agenda packet: https://montecitowater.com/assets/docs/board/collateral/262/12-05-17_Packet.pdf

Regular monthly meeting times remain unchanged for 2018, and Committee assignments and representation with partner agencies are anticipated to be confirmed at the January Board Meeting to be held on Tuesday the 16th at 2pm in the District Office.
