EMERGENCY WATER DISTRIBUTION FOR PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY
(Santa Barbara, California, January 11, 2018)
Bottled water will be distributed at three locations from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. This water is only for Montecito District customers in need of water.
- Shopping center at South West corner of East Valley Road and San Ysidro Road (Upper Village).
- Montecito Fire Station at Cold Spring and Sycamore Canyon Rd. (192).
- Summerland Post Office – 2245 Lillie Avenue. (Beginning at 1:30 p.m. on January 11, 2018).
Emergency water distribution will continue at these locations until further notice.
Additional distribution locations may become available and will be announced.
The boil water notice remains in effect for Montecito Water District Customers. Water in the cities of Santa Barbara and Carpinteria and all other communities is safe and within state and federal standards. WATER OUTAGE IS ANTICIPATED THROUGHOUT THE DISTRICT
Damage to water supply infrastructure is extensive. The District will provide an estimated time for repairs as soon as more information is available.
